Input / Output – A New Program To Improve STEM Education

Written by Brandon Cannaday | Wed, Nov 23, 2016

We believe that STEM education should be available to everyone. With that in mind, today we're announcing the new Input/Output program, with a mission to provide hardware and STEM education to those who may not otherwise have it.

How It Works

Input/Output is a Get One, Give One program for IoT hardware kits. For every kit purchased from the Losant IoT Kit Store, we'll donate a second kit to a nonprofit that improves STEM education.

Where Do The Kits Go?

We've partnered with the Cincinnati Museum Center's STEM Girls program, which provides free programs for girls ages 8-14. The students in this program will receive and assemble the first batch of donated kits.

The kits we're donating will monitor temperature and humidity of actual museum collections. Not only will these students learn valuable electronics skills; their work will be used daily by the museum staff.

Let's Make a Difference

For every kit you get for yourself or as a gift, an underrepresented individual will receive a kit of their own. STEM education is an important resource, and one that is unfortunately not available to everyone. The Input/Output program, with your help, is on a mission to change that.
