The Particle Monitor One is a customizable cellular IoT gateway that makes it easy to capture and report data from a variety of industrial equipment using protocols like Modbus, CAN, 4-20 mA, and more.

Particle provides an excellent platform for device management, connectivity, and the secure transmission of IoT data from the device to the cloud. Losant has partnered with Particle to bring full application enablement to your Particle devices and data.

To make it as easy as possible to integrate Particle with Losant, we've released the Particle Monitor One Application Template.

This template provides a turnkey application and reference implementation that demonstrates:

The Particle Monitor One template is built on Losant's Connected Product Foundation, which provides a wide variety of common functionality required by most connected products (multitenancy, user management, white labeling, data visualization, and much more).

The Monitor One template provides an out-of-the-box implementation for reading a Modbus temperature and humidity sensor. If you're new to the Monitor One and Losant, starting with this configuration is a great way to learn. The template's README contains detailed instructions for configuring this sensor.

Every resource that makes up the template is available for you to modify to meet your specific requirements and sensor configurations. This template is also not limited to only Particle Monitor One devices. The integration provided by this template can be used to receive and visualize data for any type of Particle device.

Getting Started with the Particle Monitor One Template

The Particle Monitor One template is available for all users. If you're new to Losant, you can create a free developer sandbox. The Monitor One template is an available option when creating new applications.
