Today’s platform update provides powerful new capabilities for your application experiences and workflows. Your users can now reach your Losant experience through custom domains and custom SSL certificates. The new Google BigQuery and Google Machine Learning (ML) nodes provide an easy way to integrate Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services for big data processing and machine learning into your Losant applications.

Custom Domains

Experience Endpoints and Experience Views provide an easy way to build custom APIs and websites on top of your Losant devices and data. Prior to this release, all Losant experiences were accessed using a customizable *.onlosant.com URL. With today’s release of Experience Domains, your users can now access your Losant experiences using any domain you’d like.

You can add and manage your custom domains on the new "Domains" tab within your application’s experience.

Google BigQuery and Google Machine Learning Workflow Nodes

Predictive maintenance is a major initiative for the Industrial IoT. Combining Losant’s real-time data streams with Google BigQuery for data warehousing and Google ML for machine learning provides a way to accelerate your deep analytic strategies.

The new GCP BigQuery and GCP ML nodes can now be found in your workflow palette. Using the BigQuery node, you can query existing data or insert new rows. The GCP ML node allows you to invoke existing TensorFlow models using Google Cloud Platform’s machine learning service.

Other Updates

  • Webhooks can now automatically perform Alexa verification for custom Alexa skills.
  • You can now disable SSL verification in the HTTP node, which allows for self-signed SSL certificates.
  • Added a "Reset to Default" option on the duration and resolution changer on Time Series Graph dashboard block.
